COPD

Do you suffer from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease? (COPD)

The Lung Centre at VGH is seeking volunteers who suffer from COPD. This research study will evaluate a new long acting investigational drug for patients with this disease.

To qualify, you must be:
40 years of age or older
a smoker or an ex-smoker

There are 15 clinic visits over 54 weeks. The study will involve breathing tests, electrocardiogram (a painless tracing of the electrical activity of your heart), completion of questionnaires and blood tests at some of the visits.

The Principal Investigator for this study is Dr. J. Mark FitzGerald.

TNF-COPD Exacerbation Study

Do you have

  • Increased shortness of breath?
  • Increased sputum production?
  • Change in color sputum?

The Principal Investigator for this study is Dr. J. Mark FitzGerald.
